Lemon Bundt Cake with a Lemon Glaze
Serve this Lemon Bundt Cake for a Special Occasion or just start off the day with this Light & Bright Cake and some Yogurt & Fruit - Yum!
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 3 Cups Flour
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
Wet Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup (1 Stick) Butter (melted)
- 4 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 Cup Lemon Juice (fresh)
Lemon Glaze
- 2 Cups Powdered Sugar (sifted)
- 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice (fresh)
Instructions
- Combine all Dry Ingredients (Flour, Sugar, Salt, Baking Powder & Baking Soda) into a Mixing Bowl & mix until well combined.
- Stir in Wet Ingredients (Butter, Eggs, Sour Cream, Vanilla & Lemon Juice) to create the Lemon Cake Batter.
- Pour the Lemon Cake Batter into a prepared Bundt Cake Pan (or Round/Square Cake Pan if you prefer) and smooth the surface of the batter in the baking pan of choice.
- Bake the Lemon Bundt Cake at 350 Degrees x 45-50 min or until golden brown & a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the Lemon Bundt Cake in the pan on a Cooling Rack about 10 min then flip the cake out of the Bundt Cake Pan and allow to completely cool on a Cooling Rack. If using a Round/Square Cake Pan, allow the Lemon Cake to cool in the pan on a Cooling Rack.
- Drizzle the Lemon Bundt Cake once cooled with prepared Lemon Glaze. (*see Notes below)
- Enjoy!
Notes
- To Prepare the Lemon Glaze, Combine the Powdered Sugar & Lemon Juice and mix until a nice smooth glaze consistency.
