Lemon Bundt Cake with a Lemon Glaze

Homemade Lemon Bundt Cake Recipe

Serve this Lemon Bundt Cake for a Special Occasion or just start off the day with this Light & Bright Cake and some Yogurt & Fruit - Yum!

Prep Time 5 minutes
Bake Time (350 Degrees) 45 minutes
Cooling Time 10 minutes
Total Time 1 hour

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 3 Cups Flour
  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup (1 Stick) Butter (melted)
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 Cup Lemon Juice (fresh)

Lemon Glaze

  • 2 Cups Powdered Sugar (sifted)
  • 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice (fresh)

Instructions

    1. Combine all Dry Ingredients (Flour, Sugar, Salt, Baking Powder & Baking Soda) into a Mixing Bowl & mix until well combined.
    2. Stir in Wet Ingredients (Butter, Eggs, Sour Cream, Vanilla & Lemon Juice) to create the Lemon Cake Batter.
    3. Pour the Lemon Cake Batter into a prepared Bundt Cake Pan (or Round/Square Cake Pan if you prefer) and smooth the surface of the batter in the baking pan of choice.
    4. Bake the Lemon Bundt Cake at 350 Degrees x 45-50 min or until golden brown & a toothpick comes out clean.
    5. Cool the Lemon Bundt Cake in the pan on a Cooling Rack about 10 min then flip the cake out of the Bundt Cake Pan and allow to completely cool on a Cooling Rack. If using a Round/Square Cake Pan, allow the Lemon Cake to cool in the pan on a Cooling Rack.
    6. Drizzle the Lemon Bundt Cake once cooled with prepared Lemon Glaze. (*see Notes below)
    7. Enjoy!

Notes

    • To Prepare the Lemon Glaze, Combine the Powdered Sugar & Lemon Juice and mix until a nice smooth glaze consistency.
