Crusty Dutch Oven Bread
Homemade Crusty Dutch Oven Bread! By following the recipe, you'll see how to make a Crusty on the Outside & Soft on the Inside Homemade Bread. This is a really Fun & Easy way to make Beautiful & Delicious Bread!
Ingredients
Yeast Mixture Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cups Water (100-110 Degrees)
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp Yeast (or 1 Packet of Yeast)
Flour Mixture Ingredients
- 3 Cups Flour (All-Purpose)
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sugar
Instructions
- Combine Yeast Mixture Ingredients into a Small Dish or Glass Measuring Cup, stir and allow Yeast to bloom (create foamy layer on top of water) about 5 minutes, set aside.
- Combine Flour Mixture Ingredients into a large mixing bowl, stir and set aside.
- Pour prepared Yeast Mixture into Flour Mixture, stir to create a Shaggy Dough.
- Toss the Dough around in the Mixing Bowl, rolling it around the sides, to create a ball shape dough.
- Spray Bowl and Dough Ball with oil & cover the Bowl with a towel.
- Rise 30 min - 1 Hour, or until about double in size.
- Preheat oven, with Covered Dutch Oven inside, to 425 Degrees.
- Place Risen Bread Dough onto a piece of Parchment Paper.
- Carefully place Bread Dough, on Parchment Paper, into heated Dutch Oven and Bake Covered 30 min.
- Remove Dutch Oven Cover and continue to Bake the Crusty Dutch Oven Bread Uncovered 15 min, to help create a golden brown and crispy outside!
- Cool the Crusty Dutch Oven Bread loaf on Cooling Rack, off of the Parchment Paper. (*see Notes below)
- Enjoy!
Notes
- Tap the bottom of the baked Crusty Dutch Oven Bread and listen for a dull tap sound - this confirms it's ready & baked through!
