You can use Fresh, Frozen, Home Canned or Store-Bought Canned Peaches for this Recipe!


Just make sure you drain the excess liquid away from the canned Peaches & allow the Frozen peaches to thaw overnight in the refrigerator.

Homemade Peach Cobbler From Scratch Recipe

This Peach Flavored Baked Treat is So Easy to make and works well for Brunch, Dessert or for a Sweet Way to use up some fruit! You can adjust the amount of Syrup & Sugar in this Peach Cobbler Recipe as well to suit your taste.

Prep Time 5 minutes
Bake Time (350 Degrees) 45 minutes
Total Time 50 minutes

Ingredients

PEACH FILLING

  • 2 Cups Peaches (Fresh, Frozen or Canned - Drained) (*see Notes below)
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Tbl Cornstarch

COBBLER BATTER

  • 4 Tbl Butter (1/2 Stick) (melted)
  • 1/2 - 3/4 Cup Sugar (Depending on How Sweet you like your Cobbler!)
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • Sprinkle of Brown Sugar, Cinnamon Sugar or Cinnamon/Nutmeg (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine Peaches, Sugar & Corn Starch in a Mixing Bowl, stir well to coat the Peaches in Sugar & Corn Starch and set aside.
  2. Place the Melted Butter into the Bottom of an 8"x8" Glass Baking Pan. Or you can melt the Butter in the Baking Pan by adding the Butter to the Pan & placing it into the oven for a few minutes, until melted.
  3. Mix together the remaining Cobbler Batter ingredients (Sugar, Baking Powder, Salt, Milk & Vanilla) in a Mixing Bowl and pour the Batter over the melted Butter in the Baking Pan.
  4. Now pour the prepared Peaches over the Cobbler Batter in the Baking Pan.
  5. Sprinkle the Top of the Peaches with Brown Sugar, Cinnamon Sugar or Cinnamon/Nutmeg for an Optional Topping that adds a little something extra to your Homemade Peach Cobbler!
  6. Bake the Homemade Peach Cobbler at 350 Degrees for about 45 min or until the Cobbler Top is Golden Brown and the Peach Sauce is thick and Bubbly around the edges.
  7. Allow the Homemade Peach Cobbler to Cool about 20 min.
  8. Enjoy this Delicious Sweet Treat as is, with Vanilla Ice Cream or a Dollop of Homemade Whipped Cream!
