Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe

This is a Smooth & Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe you will want to make time and time again. We'll combine a few simple ingredients to create our Vanilla Ice Cream Base and Voila! Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream! When we use the Cuisinart Automatic Ice Cream Maker, it is oh so quick & easy too!

Prep Time 5 minutes
Pre-Chill Ice Cream Base Time 2 hours
Ice Cream Maker Processing Time 40 minutes
Total Time 2 hours 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups Heavy Cream (Can Substitute with 2 Cups Heavy Cream & 1 Cup Whole Milk)
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste (See Notes below)
  • 3/4 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients into a Casserole Dish with a Cover and mix until well combined to create the Vanilla Ice Cream Base.
  2. Place Vanilla Ice Cream Base in the Refrigerator for 2 hours - Overnight.
  3. When ready to Make your Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream, simply remove the Vanilla Ice Cream Base from the Refrigerator and pour into the Ice Cream Maker's Reservoir Bucket.
  4. Turn Ice Cream Maker On, Press [Timer] and continue to press [Timer] until 40 min remains. Press [Start] and the Ice Cream Maker will start Churning & Making the Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream (See Notes below if using a different Ice Cream Maker than mentioned in this Recipe). It usually takes about 40 min to create a Smooth & Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream!
  5. Once the Ice Cream Making Cycle has finished and the Ice Cream Maker beeps, flashing [00] on the screen. Remove the Ice Cream Maker's Reservoir Bucket and scoop the Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream into a Freezer Container and Place into the Freezer until ready to eat.
  6. Enjoy on a Warm piece of Pie, in a Cone, Dish or as a Sundae to name a few tasty treats you can make with this Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream!

Notes

  • If you do not have Vanilla Bean Paste, but do have Vanilla Beans, simply split 1 Vanilla Bean in half with a knife, scrape the seeds & add both to 1 Cup of Heavy Cream, the Sugar and Salt, then Simmer in a Saucepan until the Sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and remove the Vanilla Bean. Add the remaining ingredients and continue with the Recipe!
  • If using a different style or brand ice cream maker, simply follow their instructions for pre-chilling the ice cream base, pre-freezing any components and the freeze processing time for creating your Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream in your Ice Cream Maker!

This Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream can be easily made & then stored in the Freezer for later adding to a Warm piece of Pie, Cones, Sundaes, Ice Cream Sandwiches between 2 cookies or simply enjoying in a dish!
