Sweet Crab Rangoons (Sweet & Crispy Cream Cheese & Crab Rangoon Recipe)

Sweet Crab Rangoons, Homemade Cream Cheese & Crab Rangoon Recipe | Air Fryer Recipe

Better than Takeout! A Sweet Crab Rangoon makes a Great Snack on its own or as a hard to resist Appetizer with your next Asian Inspired Meal!

Prep Time 5 minutes
Air Fryer Cook Time (350 Degrees) 10 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

Wonton Shell

  • Homemade Wonton Wrappers (see Recipe) or your favorite store-bought wrappers

Sweet Crab Rangoon Filling

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (Softened to Room Temperature)
  • ½ Cup Powdered Sugar (or to taste)
  • 8 oz Package or @ 1 Cup Crab Meat (Chopped or Pulsed in Food Processor to desired size) [Imitation, Frozen or Canned all work well]
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbl Green Onions (Sliced, @ 1 Green Onion)

Instructions

  1. Place the Softened Cream Cheese into a Stand Mixer Bowl (with Flex Edge Attachment) and mix until smooth & creamy. Mix in the Powdered Sugar until incorporated.
  2. Add all the remaining Sweet Crab Rangoon Filling ingredients to the Stand Mixer Mixing Bowl and mix on Low until all the ingredients are well combined.
  3. Dollop @ 1 Tbl of filling per Wonton Wrapper. Dab a small amount of Water around the perimeter of the Wonton Wrapper and fold/pinch the Wontons to the desired Crab Rangoon shape of choice.
  4. Place the filled Homemade Sweet Crab Rangoons into an Air Fryer (*see Notes below) and cook at @ 350 Degrees x 10 min. Air Fryers vary with their cook time & temps so experiment with what temperature and cook time works best for your model & how you like your Sweet Crab Rangoons best!
  5. Enjoy dipped in your favorite sauce; Sweet and Sour Sauce is a great paring for these Crispy & Irresistible Snacks!

Notes

  • Spray the Homemade Sweet Crab Rangoons with a Neutral Oil (Avocado Oil works well for this) prior to Air Frying to get an even more crispy & golden-brown result!
  • Adjust the amount of Crab Meat in these Rangoons to your liking or eliminate completely for a Delicious & Sweet Cream Cheese Rangoon! Pair the Cream Cheese Rangoons with Sweet & Sour Sauce or try serving them as a Fun Asian Inspired Dessert with Strawberry or Chocolate Sauce for dipping!


You can adjust the amount of Crab in these Tasty Snacks or eliminate it completely for a Sweet Cream Cheese Rangoon that can double as a fun Dessert Item to go with your Asian Inspired meal! These Dessert Version Sweet Cream Cheese Rangoons can then be dipped in Sweet & Sour, Chocolate or Strawberry Sauce!
