Today we will be doing a Winter Warm Up by making some Homemade Chocolate Covered Strawberry Hot Cocoa Bombs (or Hot Chocolate Spheres). Chocolate & Strawberries are a perfect pair, so why not make some fun Hot Cocoa Bombs flavored with them for your Sweetie, Friend or Family Members with a sweet tooth! Chocolate Covered Strawberry Hot Cocoa Bombs / Spheres

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Hot Cocoa Bombs / Spheres

Chocolate & Strawberries are a perfect pair, so why not make some fun Hot Cocoa Bombs flavored with them for your Sweetie, Friend or Family Members with a sweet tooth!

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (If you like your Hot Cocoa extra sweet, use Milk Chocolate Chips)
  • 1 tsp Strawberry Powder (per Medium Sphere) (1 Tbl per Large Sphere)
  • 1 tsp Mini Marshmallows (Freeze Dried, per Sphere) [Optional]

Instructions

  1. Melt Chocolate Chips in a Double Boiler (or in the Microwave - 20 sec then stir, repeating as necessary until the Chocolate is melted and smooth). Remove from heat once the Chocolate is melted and smooth.
  2. Use Silicone Brush to apply thick layer of melted Chocolate into Circular Silicone Forms of desired size.
  3. Place Prepped Silicone Forms onto a baking pan and place in the freeze until the Chocolate is solid (@ 5-10 min).
  4. Once the Chocolate has set and is solid, carefully remove the Chocolate Sphere Halves from the circular forms pan and place onto the baking pan.
  5. Fill each sphere half with Strawberry Powder & Mini Marshmallows [Optional] (or desired fillings - See Notes Below).
  6. Using some of the remaining melted Chocolate from Step 1, seal two sphere halves together with the melted Chocolate and set completed Hot Cocoa Bomb / Sphere aside. Once all Hot Cocoa Bombs / Spheres are sealed, place them on the baking pan and back into the freezer for @ 5-10 min to set the Chocolate Seam.
  7. Place each Hot Cocoa Bomb / Sphere into a foil wrapper (See Notes below for suggestions). These can also store as is in an airtight container.
  8. Enjoy or give as gifts to your Sweetie, Friend or Family Members with a Sweet Tooth!

Notes

- You Can use Different Types of Chocolate for the Outer Shell! Try adding some Nutella or other flavored extracts to the outer shell for some fun twists to these Hot Cocoa Bombs / Spheres.

- Play around with the inner content flavor combinations - Peanut Butter Powder, a dollop of Nutella or your favorite fruit powder might be great for making some tasty Cocoas to enjoy & share!

- By placing the different flavor Hot Cocoa Bombs / Spheres into different colored foil wrappers, it will help to tell the various flavors you created apart! Or use the Shiny side of Aluminum Foil for one flavor and the Matte Side for another!


– You Can use Different Types of Chocolate for the Outer Shell! Try adding some Nutella or other flavored extracts (See Video Below on How to Make Coffee & Espresso Extracts!) to the outer shell for some fun twists to these Hot Cocoa Bombs / Spheres.

– Play around with the inner content flavor combinations – Peanut Butter Powder, a dollop of Nutella or your favorite fruit powder might be great for making some tasty Cocoas to enjoy & share!

– By placing the different flavor Hot Cocoa Bombs / Spheres into different colored foil wrappers, it will help to tell the various flavors you created apart! Or use the Shiny side of Aluminum Foil for one flavor and the Matte Side for another!

Coffee or Espresso Extracts can add a Nice Mocha Flavor to the Outer Shell of the Homemade Hot Cocoa Bombs!
