By following the steps in this Recipe, you will see how easy it is to take Fresh Eggs & Freeze them for use later. You will have a consistent supply of eggs for use in recipes for months to come! Frozen eggs work great for recipes such as Egg Casseroles, Omelets, Quiches as well as for when doing large Baking Projects and you know you will need a lot of eggs! Simply take the number of eggs you will be needing for your recipe out of the freezer and thaw them overnight in the refrigerator. The next morning, they will be ready to go!

Prep Time 5 minutes
Freeze Time 6 hours
Total Time 6 hours 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • Fresh Eggs (The More the Better!)

Instructions

  1. Place Silicone Muffin Pan onto a Baking Sheet.
  2. Crack Egg and scramble in a small bowl (or in a Silicone Muffin Pan Cavity) with a small whisk or fork. Scramble each egg separately and place 1 Egg into each Silicone Muffin Pan Cavity. (*see Notes below)
  3. Once all desired Muffin Pan Cavities are filled with the prepped Eggs, place a sheet of Parchment Paper over each Silicone Muffin Pan/Baking Sheet and place into the freezer for 4 - 6 Hours or until all scrambled egg portions are completely frozen.
  4. Remove Frozen Eggs from the Silicone Muffin Pan and place into a Reusable Silicone Freezer Bag, Freezer Safe Container or Zip Top Bag. Or you can Vacuum Seal the Frozen Eggs in a Bag with a Food Saver Vacuum Sealer Machine.
  5. When Eggs are needed, simply remove desired number of Frozen Eggs from the freezer and allow them to thaw in a covered bowl overnight in the refrigerator.
  6. By morning, the Frozen Eggs with be thawed and ready, like fresh eggs, for your recipe!

Notes

  • I prefer the Consistency & Texture of the Frozen Eggs, once thawed, when they are scrambled well in a bowl, then poured into the Muffin Pan.
  • Frozen Eggs prepared as above, can last in the freezer for up to 1 year! But I typically use them within 3-4 months.
