Homemade Herb & Cheese Crackers (Crispy Cheese Cracker Recipe)

Homemade Herb & Cheese Crackers Recipe

These tasty Homemade Crispy Herb & Cheese Crackers or Cheese Crisps create quite a statement with just a few ingredients. They'll make a beautiful addition to your next Dinner Party, Snack Board or Gathering!

Prep Time 5 minutes
BakeTime 20 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cups Gruyere, Swiss or Parmesan Cheese (Grated) (*see note below)
  • 1/2 Cup Butter (1 Stick)
  • 1 Cup Flour (All-Purpose)
  • 1 tsp Rosemary (Finely Minced or Ground with a Mortar & Pestle)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbl - 1/4 Cup Water (Pulse into Cracker Dough, using just enough to help the dough come together)

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients into a Food Processor and Pulse until a dry dough results. Adding just enough Water to help the dough come together & clumps when pressed between your fingers.
  2. Turn the Homemade Herb & Cheese Cracker Dough out onto a piece of parchment paper and roll out with a lightly floured rolling pin to @ 1/8" thickness (the dough will be slightly dry & crumbly).
  3. Place the prepared Cracker Dough (still on the Parchment Paper) onto a Baking Sheet. (*see note below)
  4. Bake at 350 Degrees for 10-20 min, or until the Homemade Herb & Cheese Crackers are cooked through and there is a slight golden color to the edges. If you like your crackers extra crispy, just Bake a few minutes more or until they are cooked to your liking!
  5. Allow the Homemade Crackers to cool on a cooling rack and break apart to the size and shape that you prefer.
  6. Enjoy these Crispy Cheese Crackers in a Bowl for Snacking or on a Cheese Tray / Charcuterie Board for your next Dinner Party or Gathering!

Notes

    • Be creative & play around with the Herb & Cheese combinations. Your friends and family won't mind a bit snacking on your Homemade Cracker Creations!
    • These Homemade Herb & Cheese Crackers Bake wonderfully in 1 large portion that can then be broken into various shapes and sizes once cooled. If you would like a more structured Cracker, simply use a Cookie Cutter or Pastry Wheel/Pizza Cutter and create the Cracker Shape you prefer prior to baking.
    • These Homemade Crispy Herb & Cheese Crackers store in an airtight container at room temperature @ 2 days or in the freezer @ 1 month!
