Homemade Sloppy Joe Sandwich Recipe | For Quick & Easy Sloppy Joes!
Meaty, messy and better than your Lunch Lady can make, this Homemade Sloppy Joe Sandwich recipe will become a go to for Lunch or Dinner! When you combine my Homemade Sloppy Joe Mix with some Ground Meat, Homemade Ketchup Sauce & a Fresh Roll – Yum! This meal is easy to whip up with some ground beef (or chicken/turkey) on the stovetop or on sauté mode in your Instant Pot. Then you can let the Sloppy Joe Meat Mixture sit on keep warm until you’re ready to eat. Busy weeknight, comfort food craving, friends or family gathering – this will be a tasty meal option. Sloppy Joe’s anyone? Yes please & pass the napkins!
Sloppy Joe Sandwich Recipe
These Quick & Easy Homemade Sloppy Joe Sandwiches, made with a flavorful Sloppy Joe Meat Mixture, can be enjoyed on a Fresh Roll/Bun or Baked Potato with some Melted Cheese! We'll simply combine my Homemade Sloppy Joe Mix Seasoning with some Ground Beef, Homemade Ketchup Sauce & Rolls - Lunch or Dinner is served!
Ingredients
- 1 Lb Ground Beef (see Notes below)
- 1/4 Cup Homemade Sloppy Joe Seasoning Mix (see Notes)
- 1 Tbl Brown Sugar (Optional, if you like your Sloppy Joes Savory, leave it out. If you like them nice & sweet, add more!)
- 1 Cup Homemade Ketchup Sauce (Mrs. Wages Recipe) (see Notes)
Instructions
- Brown Meat (or Meat Substitute) in Pan or Instant Pot on [Saute mode] until no longer pink and cooked through.
- If excess fat is noted, drain away, leaving a little in the Pan for cooking the Dry Ingredients we will be adding next.
- Add Homemade Sloppy Joe Seasoning Mix & Brown Sugar (if desired) and mix with Cooked Meat until well incorporated.
- Add the Homemade Ketchup Sauce to the Meat Mixture and mix until well combined.
- Continue to cook until the Sloppy Joe Meat Mixture is heated through.
- Enjoy! (& don't forget the napkins!)
