Apple Spice Liqueur

Homemade Gift Ideas - Apple Spice Liqueur

By adding a Few Simple Ingredients with an alcohol (Vodka) and allowing them to Cure & Meld over time as shown in the video, you will end up with some great Homemade Liqueur you can enjoy or give as a gift! This Apple Spice Liqueur is delicious served neat, on the rocks or added to Hot Apple Cider on a Cold Evening.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Liqueur Resting Time (2-4 Weeks) 21 days
Total Time 21 days 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1.75 L Bottle of Vodka of Choice (80 proof)
  • 4 Apples (Peeled, Cored & Sliced) [2 Apples per Half Gallon Mason Jar]
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks [1 per Half Gallon Mason Jar]
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar [1/2 Cup per Half Gallon Mason Jar] (*see Notes below)
  • 8 Whole Cloves [4 per Half Gallon Mason Jar]
  • 2-4 Grates Fresh Nutmeg (or a dash of Ground Nutmeg) [per Half Gallon Mason Jar]

Instructions

  1. Add all Ingredients into Half Gallon Mason Jars as above and Stir Well to Combine and help dissolve the sugar.
  2. Secure Jar Lid/Ring and place Half Gallon Mason Jars onto a Rimmed Baking Pan.
  3. Place Apple Spice Liqueur filled jars in a cool, dry place to steep & develop for 2-4 weeks.
  4. Shake the Jars of Apple Spice Liqueur daily for the 1st week, then every few days.
  5. Check the appearance, smelling & tasting the Apple Spice Liqueur afer 2 weeks. Allow to steep until desired flavor is achieved!
  6. Stain out the Apples & Spices & place the prepared Apple Spice Liqueur into flip top lid glass bottles or jars of choice.
  7. Store the Homemade Apple Spice Liqueur in a cool, dry place for 6 months - 1 year!

Notes

  • If you like a really sweet liqueur, add 1 cup of Brown Sugar per Half Gallon Mason Jar!
  • This Homemade Liqueur takes 2-4 weeks to steep & develop into the tasty Apple Spice Flavored beverage.
  • Serve this delicious Apple Spice Liqueur neat, on the rocks or added to a hot apple cider - which is wonderful on a cold winter night!
