Wheat Thins Crackers - Fresh Milled Flour Recipe

These Homemade Wheat Thins Crackers, made with Fresh Milled Flour, are a Sweet & Crispy Wheat Cracker that is great for snacking!

Prep Time 20 minutes
Bake Time (400 Degrees F) 10 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Wheat Flour (Fresh Milled, Hard Red Wheat Berries)
  • 2 Tbl Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 Cup (1/2 Stick) Butter (cold)
  • 1/4 Cup Water

Instructions

  1. Place the Dry Ingredients (Flour, Sugar, Salt & Paprika) into a Stand Mixer Bowl or Mixing Bowl and stir until combined.
  2. Add Butter and Mix in Stand Mixer or hand cut with pastry cutter until small pieces of butter created throughout the mixture.
  3. Pour in the Water and mix until a dough ball is created.
  4. Turn out the Wheat Thins Dough onto a floured surface and roll out until about 1/16" thick. (*see Notes below)
  5. Using a pasta cutter, pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut the prepared Wheat Thins dough into the desired size and shape for crackers.
  6. Transfer the Wheat Thins Crackers onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. (*see Notes below)
  7. Bake the Wheat Thins Crackers for about 8-10 min at 400 Degrees F, or until nice and golden brown and crispy.
  8. Allow the crackers to cool completely before serving or storing.
  9. Enjoy these Wheat Thins crackers as is, or with your favorite cheeses or dips, as a great homemade snack!

Notes

  • The thinner you roll out the dough, the crispier your crackers will be!
  • These Wheat Thins Crackers do not rise or spread too much when baking, so you can place them closely on the baking sheet.
  • Store the crackers in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week.
