How to Make a Chair Planter | Container Planting | Add Fun & Whimsical Color to your Front Porch, Patio or Yard!
Today we will be adding some Fun & Whimsical Color to our Front Porch or Yard by Creating a Chair Planter! By taking an ordinary chair and altering it to support a Planter Pot, you can quickly add some Character to your Container Planting as well as a Cute piece of Yard Art! Follow along to see How to Easily make a Chair Planter for your Porch, Patio or Property. Hopefully you’ll also get inspired to use different items as vessels for your Flowers & Vegetables!
Container Planting – Add a Touch of Whimsy to Your Front Porch, patio or Yard with a Chair Planter!
You can pick up a used Chair from a Rummage Sale, Thrift Store or maybe find your Planter from the Curb. Someone else’s junk may be your treasure! This is a Cute way to add some Color & Fun to your Outdoor Space. Choose a Bright & Festive Dwarf Sunflower, Begonia or Favorite Flower of your choice for your DIY Chair Planter. The chair back could also serve as a Trellis for a Vegetable that likes to climb!
Look for a Pot with a nice lip around the edge so that it can be placed into your prepared Chair Seat to create your Chair Planter. You Can use Plastic, Resin or Ceramic, but I find Plastic works well because it has a little flexibility to it when sliding it into the Chair Seat portion.
A Jig Saw works well for cutting out the circle in the Chair Seat. Start by making a hole with a Drill then cut the desired sized circle for your chosen Planter Pot!
